Robinson: dissidenti non mineranno amministrazione condivisa nel Nord

Né le attività dei dissidenti repubblicani e neppure la crisi economica mineranno l’amministrazione condivisa in Irlanda del Nord, hanno detto il primo ministro Peter Robinson ed il suo vice Martin McGuinness.

I due uomini prendevano parte ad una conferenza stampa con il ministro degli Affari Esteri irlandase Micheál Martin, il ministro nordirlandese per lo Sviluppo Sociale Margareth Ritchie dello SDLP ed il ministro junior Jeffrey Donaldson del DUP, in seguito all’incontro del Consiglio Ministeriale Nord-Sud North-South Ministerial Council a Farmleigh, nel Phoenix Park.

“Ci siamo dimostrati un Esecutivo che non sarà maltrattato dall’attività dei dissidenti”, ha detto Peter Robinson.

“La comunità politica in Irlanda del Nord sarà unita, non solo lo Sinn Fein ed il DUP ma tutti i partiti presenti nell’Esecutivo ed anche i partiti che non vi partecipano sono assolutamente determinati a farlo. Così penso ci possiamo sbarazzare di quella minaccia”, prosegue il primo ministro.

Commentando le “efficienze” finanziarie viste dal Tesoro inglese, Robinson ha affermato che “non penso ci siano divisioni tra i partiti dell’Esecutivo”.

Dissidents will not undermine cross-party administration in North, says Robinson

NEITHER DISSIDENT republican activity nor the economic crisis would undermine the cross-party administration in Northern Ireland, the North’s First Minister Peter Robinson and Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness said in Dublin yesterday.

The two men were taking part in a joint news conference with Minister for Foreign Affairs Micheál Martin, the North’s Minister for Social Development Margaret Ritchie of the SDLP, and DUP junior minister Jeffrey Donaldson, following a meeting of the North-South Ministerial Council at Farmleigh, in the Phoenix Park.

“We have shown as an Executive that we are not going to be bullied by any dissident activity,” Mr Robinson said.

“The political community in Northern Ireland will stand together, and not just Sinn Féin and the DUP but all of the parties in the Executive and even the parties beyond the Executive are absolutely determined on that. So I think that we have seen off that threat.”

Commenting on the financial “efficiencies” sought by the UK treasury, Mr Robinson said: “In relation to the financial issues, I don’t think that there is a division between the parties in the Executive.”
