Salviamo Radio Free Ireland!

Save Radio Free Ireland

Radio Free IrelandKBOO Community Radio has taken the decision to cut Celtic programming from one hour per week, to one hour per month, essentially bring to a close the popular, locally produced, 16 year old Radio Free Ireland.

Given all that is still happening in the occupied north, and the size of the local Celtic community, as well as the program’s regular efforts to increase the wider KBOO listenership through continuous outreach efforts, we, the undersigned feel that one hour a month is insufficient, and will basically destroy a popular and useful program.

We ask that KBOO community radio reconsider this decision and allow Radio Free Ireland to continue to provide a much needed service to its Celtic base and recognize the shows importance in bringing its listeners the latest news and views from Ireland as well as being a valuable resource for the Celtic music community in and around the Portland area. .

Please give us back our weekly Celtic voice in Portland!

Contact the following people through the online form or by phone and ask respectfully they reconsider what will be a terrible loss to the local Celtic community and the greater community who rely on this show for Music, News and Views in relation to Celtic events
