Saulters ha inoltre sostenuto che “giochi sporchi” stanno portando ad Northern Ireland Electricity ad essere “sorpassata dall’omologa controparte della Repubblica”.
E in un ulteriore attacco, il Grand Master dell’Orange Order ha dichiarato che le iniziali del Public Prosecution Service (PPS – Servizio del Pubblico Ministero) dovrebbero stare per “Protestant Prosecution Service”.
Saulters ha fatto i suoi commenti schietti in un redazionale per l’edizione di questo mese della rivista “Orange Standard”.
Si è scagliato contro i “buonisti” che danno “le loro opinioni sulle parate”, aggiungendo: “Sicuramente qualcosa abbiamo imparato dalle bombe di Claudy, dall’attentato di Omagh e da tutte le altre atrocità, questi nomi di fantasia dei dissidenti, Real , éirígí, sono tutti IRA Cattolica Romana e non dobbiamo dimenticarlo”.
Nell’articolo fa riferimento anche alla guerra in Afghanistan, facendo un evidente legame alla condivisione del potere esecutivo a Stormont.
“Nessun dubbio che sarà un’idea dei governi americano e britannico di riportare indietro i terroristi e offrire loro soldi come soggetti politici per governare il loro paese!”, ha affermato.
In tema delle “parate repubblicane illegali”, Saulters ha scritto di “persone senza volto che decideno chi deve essere perseguito e chi no”.
Ha inoltre dichiarato: “Sappiamo tutti cosa significa PPS – Protestant Prosecution Service – loro non sono mai dietro la porta a distribuire azioni giudiziarie per il popolo protestante”.
Un portavoce del PPS ha affermato: “Le decisioni di avanzare un’accusa sono basate sul Testo di Procedura Penale e le questioni relative alla formazione religiosa di un potenziale accusato non fanno parte del processo decisionale”.
L’articolo del Grand Master ha anche criticato aspramente la prevista vendita della Northern Ireland Electricity da parte della baca del Bahrain che la possiede alla ESB, azienda elettrica di proprietà statale della Repubblica d’Irlanda.

Mr Saulters also alleged that “dirty dealing” is leading to Northern Ireland Electricity being “taken over by the Southern Government’s counterpart”.
And in a further attack, the Orange Grand Master stated that the initials of the Public Prosecution Service (PPS) should stand for the “Protestant Prosecution Service”.
Mr Saulters made his outspoken comments in a column for this month’s edition of The Orange Standard newspaper.
He hit out at “do-gooders” putting “their two-pence halfpenny worth into parading”, adding: “Surely we have learned something from the Claudy bombing, the Omagh bombing and all the other atrocities, these fancy names of dissident, real, eirigi, they are all the Roman Catholic IRA and let us not forget that.”
His column also referred to the war in Afghanistan, making an apparent link to the power-sharing executive at Stormont.
“No doubt it will be in the minds of the American and British governments to bring the terrorists in from the cold and offer them monetary payments as politicians to rule their country!” he stated.
On the subject of “illegal republican parades”, Mr Saulters wrote about “faceless people deciding who should be prosecuted and who should not”.
He further said: “we all know what PPS stands for — Protestant Prosecution Service — they are never behind the door in handing out prosecutions to the Protestant people.”
A PPS spokesperson said: “Decisions for prosecution are on the basis of the Test for Prosecution and issues as to the religious background of a potential defendant do not form any part of the decision making process.”
The Grand Master’s article also lambasted the planned sale of Northern Ireland Electricity by its Bahrain bank owners to ESB, the Republic’s state-owned power company.
