Secondo uomo accusato per la bomba di Derry

La polizia di Derry ha accusato formalmente un secondo uomo in collegamento con l’autobomba esplosa davanti alla stazione di Strand Road la scorsa settimana

L’uomo, 53 anni, è accusato di una serie di reati, compreso possesso di armi da fuoco e munizioni con l’intento di causare danni a vite umane e possesso di un’arma proibita.

Dovrebbe comparire lunedì in aula presso la Derry Magistrates Court.

Venerdì un quarantaduenne era in aula e ha negato tutte le accuse collegate con lo stesso attacco bomba.

La Real IRA ha rivendicato la responsabilità per la bomba con un comunicato nel quale ha utilizzato il nome di Oglaigh na hEireann.

Un tassista era stato costretto con la forza a portare la sua vettura presso la stazione di polizia dopo che uomini a volto coperto avevano caricato 200 libbre di esplosivo artigianale sul taxi.

Second man charged over police station bomb

Police in Londonderry have charged a second man in connection with a car bomb attack on Strand Road police station in the city last week.

The 53-year-old has been charged with a series of charges including possession of firearms and ammunition with intent to endanger life and possession of a prohibited weapon.

He is due to appear before Derry Magistrates Court on Monday.

On Friday a 42-year-old man was in court and denied a string of charges linked to the same bombing.

The Real IRA claimed responsibility for the bombing with a statement that used the title Oglaigh na hEireann.

A taxi driver was forced at gunpoint to drive to the police station after a device carrying 200lbs of homemade explosive that was placed in his car.
