Due uomini fermati per i disordini di East Belfast della scorsa settimana sono stati rilasciati senza accuse
Sei persone sono state arrestate in collegamento con i violenti disordini di East Belfast, in cui un fotografo è stato colpito da un proiettile ad una gamba e numerose case di Short Strand e Newtownards Road sono state daneggiate.
“Un’intensa” indagine è in corso, afferma la polizia.
Un ventiduenne di West Belfast era stato frmato il 22 giugno secondo la Legge sul Terrorismo.
Il giorno seguente un altro uomo, 28 anni, è stato fermato sempre nella zona ovest della città. Entrambi sono stati rilasciati incondizionatamente.
Il 24 giugno, un adolescente è stato arrestato perché sospettato di aver partecipato ai disordini. Lunedì sono stati fermati due uomini per comportamento riottoso. Uno dei due dovrebbe comparire in tribunale il mese prossimo, mentre l’altro è stato rilasciato con la condizionale in attesa di ulteriori indagini.
Il 28 giugno un altro uomo è stato fermato e accusato di comportamento riottoso. Anche lui comparirà in aula a luglio.

Six arrests over east Belfast riots
Two men questioned about disturbances that took place in East Belfast last week have been released without charge.
Six people have been arrested in connection with the two nights of violent riots, in which a photographer was shot, and extensive damage done to houses in the Short Strand and Lower Newtownards Road areas.
Police say an “extensive” investigation is underway to identify those involved in the disorder.
A 22-year-old male from the west Belfast area was arrested on 22 June under the Terrorism Act.
The following day, a 28-year-old man also from west Belfast was detained. Both have since been released unconditionally.
On 24 June, a teen was arrested on suspicion of rioting and on Monday, two males were arrested for riotous behaviour. One of the pair is expected to appear in court next month, while the other has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
On 28 June a further male was arrested and charged for riotous and disorderly behaviour. He is also due in court in July.
