Sei presunti repubblicani arrestati nella Repubblica per traffico di alcol

La Gardai ha arrestato sei uomini e sequestrato alcol rubato durante un’indagine sulle attività repubblicane

Sei uomini sono stati fermati in collegamento con il sequestro di due spedizioni di alcol rubato.

I sei sono stati fermati vicino a Drogheda, nella Contea di Louth, e a Delvin, nella Contea di Westmeath.

La Garda afferma che gli arresti sono avvenuti nel corso di un’indagine sui repubblicani.

Tre uomini nordirlandesi sono stati arrestati alle 23 di ieri sera, dopo che un autoarticolato è stato fermato sull’autostrada M1 vicino a Drogheda.

Il camion era rubato e conteneva alcolici. Anche un secondo camion, con lo stesso tipo di carico, è stato sequestrato.

Gli uomini, tutti intorno ai 30 anni, sono stati portati nelle stazioni di polizia di Balbriggan e Drogheda.

Altri tre uomini sono stati fermati a Delvin in una successiva operazione.

Vengono interrogati nelle stazioni Garda di Kells e Navan.

Six men held as stolen alcohol recovered

Gardaí have arrested six men and seized a quantity of stolen alcohol as part of an investigation into dissident republicans.

Six men have been arrested in connection with the seizure of two consignments of stolen alcohol.

The six were detained near Drogheda in Co Louth and in Delvin in Co Westmeath.

Gardaí say the arrests were made as part of an investigation into dissident republicans.

Three men from Northern Ireland were arrested at around 11pm last night after an articulated truck was stopped on the M1 near Drogheda.

The truck was stolen and contained an assignment of alcohol. A second trailer, also containing alcohol, was seized.

The men, who are in their 30s, are being held at Balbriggan and Drogheda garda stations.

Three more men were arrested in a follow-up operation in Delvin.

They are being questioned at Kells and Navan garda stations.
