Il ministro della Giustizia David Ford ha condannato l’attacco armato contro gli agenti di polizia a Lisnaskea avvenuto lunedì sera
Si è appreso che l’obiettivo dell’attacco era la stazione di polizia cittadina.
La parlamentare del DUP Arlene Foster ha detto che l’edificio è stato attaccato “con fuoco di armi automatiche”.
David Ford ha scritto su Twitter: “Chi ha cercato di uccidere gli agenti di polizia a Lisnaskea deve essere condannato”.
Il leader dell’Alliance Party ha aggiunto: “Non hanno nulla di positivo da offrire”.
Il parlamentare UUP Tom Elliott ha affermato che non ci sono stati feriti.
“Condanno senza riserve l’attacco contro la stazione di polizia di Lisnaskea e sono contento che nessun agente né civile sia rimasto ferito o ucciso in questo sconsiderato atto di terrorismo” ha spiegato.
La Federazione di Polizia per l’Irlanda del Nord, che rappresenta gli agenti nella regione, punta il dito contro i gruppi repubblicani.
“Gli agenti sono sfuggiti alla morte quando i dissidenti repubblicani hanno attaccato con armi da fuoco la stazione di Lisnaskea. In maniera codarda e futile. Il terrorismo non prevarrà mai”, ha scritto sempre su Twitter la Police Federation for Northern Ireland.

Gun attack on Lisnaskea police station
Justice Minister David Ford has condemned a gun attack on PSNI officers in Lisnaskea, Co Fermanagh, on Monday night.
It is understood the police station in the town was the target of the attack.
Local DUP MLA Arlene Foster said the station had been attacked “with automatic gunfire”.
Mr Ford tweeted: “Those who tried to kill police officers in Lisnaskea are to be condemned.”
The Alliance leader added: “They have nothing positive to offer.”
Local UUP MLA Tom Elliott said no one was injured in the incident.
“I unreservedly condemn the attack on Lisnaskea Police Station and am thankful that PSNI officers and civilians weren’t injured or killed in this ruthless act of terrorism,” he said.
The Police Federation for Northern Ireland, which is the body representing rank and file officers in the region, blamed dissident republicans for the attack.
“Officers escape death when dissident republicans attack Lisnaskea station with gunfire. Cowardly and futile. Terrorism will never prevail,” the PFNI tweeted.
The PSNI has not yet confirmed the incident.
