Un terzo uomo è stato arrestato per il sospetto di tentato omicidio, dopo il ferimento con colpi di arma da fuoco a North Belfast
Un uomo di trentuno anni è stato fermato nella giornata di venerdì e viene trattenuto in custodia dalla PSNI insieme ad altre due uomini – di 46 e 47 anni – arrestati giovedì.
I fermi seguono l’attacco avvenuto a Carr’s Glen, North Belfast, in cui un uomo di 44 anni è stato ferito ad una gamba.
Due uomini erano a bordo di un’auto, mercoledì sera, quando qualcosa è stato lanciato contro la vettura. Appena scesi dalla macchina, uno dei due uomini è stato colpito da un proiettile nella parte superiore della coscia.
Trasportato in ospedale, non è in pericolo di vita.
Il comandante della polizia George Hamilton ha detto che l’attacco potrebbe essere il risultato dell’innalzamento delle tensioni interne ai gruppi lealisti in questa zona di North Belfast.

Third arrest over ‘loyalist’ murder bid
A third man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following the shooting of a man in north Belfast.
The 31-year-old suspect was detained on Friday and is being held in police custody alongside two more men aged 46 and 47, who were arrested on Thursday.
It follows a gun attack at Carr’s Glen in which a 44-year-old was shot in the leg.
Two men had been driving in the area on Wednesday night when something was thrown at their car – when they got out, one was shot in the upper thigh.
He was taken to hospital with injuries which were not believed to be life-threatening.
Police Chief Constable George Hamilton said the incident came as a result of heightened tensions within loyalism in this part of north Belfast.
He appealed for the community to support detectives in their investigations.
