Lo studente Thomas Devlin fu accoltellato almeno 9 volte, è stato riferito in tribunale
Un patologo ha testimoniato che Thomas Devlin morì per ferite da taglio al petto a North Belfast nell’agosto 2005.
Alla giuria è stato anche mostrato un filmato ripreso da telecamere a circuito chiuso proveniente da un gruppo di appartamenti in Shore Road, dove si vedevano i movimenti dei due accusati prima e dopo l’omicidio.
I due accusati devono rispondere anche di tentato omicidio per l’aggressione contro un amico di Thomas.
Gli studenti stavano camminando lungo Somerton Road quando furono attaccati. Un terzo ragazzo riuscì a fuggire.
Il patologo riferisce che due coltellate danneggiarono l’aorta di Thomas – l’arteria principale – ed un polmone.
Thomas venne accoltellato quattro volte alla schiena, due ad un braccio e una volta all’occhio sinistro, addome e fianco.
Secondo lo specialista le ferite alle mani del ragazzo possono essere state causate quando cercò di sollevare le mani per difendersi.
Il processo continua.

Schoolboy Thomas Devlin ‘stabbed nine times’
Schoolboy Thomas Devlin was stabbed at least nine times, his murder trial has been told.
A pathologist testified Thomas Devlin died from stab wounds to the chest in in north Belfast in August 2005.
The jury was also shown CCTV footage from a block of flats on the Shore Road which showed the two defendants’ movements before and after the murder.
The two accused also face attempted murder charges over an attack on Thomas’s friend.
The schoolboys were walking along the Somerton Road beside St Patrick’s school when they were attacked. A third boy managed to escape.
The pathologist said that two of the stab wounds damaged 15-year-old Thomas’s aorta – the main artery to his heart – and a lung.
He said Thomas had been stabbed four times in the back, twice in the arm, and once in the left eye, abdomen and hip.
He added that it was possible that the wounds to the Thomas’s hands had been caused when he raised his arms in self-defence.
The case continues.
