Tre lealisti sono stati arrestati in collegamento con l’omicidio dell’ex brigadiere UDA di North Belfast John Boreland e accusati di ostacolo alla giustizia
John Boreland, 46 anni, fu assassinato il mese scorso a North Belfast da un singolo killer.
Un ventinovenne è stato fermato nel nord della contea di Ayrshire e altri due, di 33 e 61 anni, sono stati arrestati a North Belfast.
Compariranno questa mattina in aula per la prima udienza.
Il 7 agosto scorso John Boreland fu colpito da diversi proiettili mentre stava tornando alla sua abitazione nella zona di Sunningdale Gardens a North Belfast.
Morì immediatamente.
Un quarto uomo di 33 anni, arrestato martedì a Newtownabbey, è stato rilasciato ma il fascicolo sarà inviato al Public Prosecution Service per eventuali incriminazioni.
Gli investigatori della PSNI sono ancora alla ricerca di chi aprì il fuoco contro Boreland.

THREE MEN CHARGED OVER MURDER OF LEADING LOYALIST JOHN BORELAND
THREE loyalists arrested in connection with the probe into the murder of one time UDA north Belfast brigadier John ‘Bonzer’ Boreland have been charged with perverting the course of justice.
Boreland, 46, was shot dead in north Belfast last month by a lone gunman in north Belfast.
A 29-year-old man has been detained in north Ayrshire and two others, aged 33 and 61, were arrested in north Belfast.
They will face Belfast Magistrates’ Court this morning for a first remand hearing.
‘Bonzer’ Boreland was shot a number of times as he walked to his flat in the Sunningdale Gardens area of north Belfast on Sunday, August 7.
He died at the scene.
A fourth man, aged 33, who was arrested in Newtownabbey, on Tuesday has been released pending a report to the PPS.
Detectives are still hunting the killer who blasted Boreland to death.
