Tre sospettati in tribunale a Newry per il ritrovamento di armi

Tre uomini sono comparsi in tribunale, accusati in collegamento con il ritrovamento di armi e munizioni in South Armagh venerdì scorso

Brian Anthony Sheridan, 34 anni, Brian Francis Cavlan, 35 anni, e Dominic Edward Dymes, 39 anni, sono comparsi in aula presso il tribunale di Newry.

Tutti e tre sono accusati di possesso di armi da fuoco, di preparazione di atti di terrorismo e di avere oggetti utili per i terroristi.

Un investigatore ha detto alla corte che, quando sono stati interrogati, tutti e tre hanno affermato che le armi, trovate in una vettura, dovevano essere sepolte e non usate.

Tutto e tre hanno rifiutato di sedersi nei banchi degli imputati quando il giudice glilo ha ordinato.

Sono stati rimandati in custodia e compariranno di nuovo in aula il prossimo mese.

Three in court over weapons find

Three men have appeared in court, charged in connection with a weapons and ammunition seizure in south Armagh on Friday.

The accused were Brian Anthony Sheridan, 34 from Blackwatertown, 35 year-old Brian Francis Cavlan from Dungannon and Dominic Edward Dymes, 39 from Castleblaney.

All three were charged with possession of firearms, preparing for acts of terrorism and having articles likely to be of use to terrorists.

A detective sergeant told the court that, when questioned, all three said the weapons, found in a car, were to be buried and not used.

All three refused to stand in the dock when ordered to do so by the magistrate.

The trio were remanded in custody to appear in court again next month.
