Un adolescente è stato colpito e gettato a terra da due uomini sul Craigavon Bridge a Derry
Il tredicenne stava camminando verso Carlisle Road quando è stato attaccato.
Uno degli assalitori indossava un giubbotto nero con cappuccio e pantaloni della tuta neri.
Mark Durkan, parlamentare SDLP per Foyle, ritiene l’aggressione sia settaria.
“E’ stomachevole che un giovane e innocente ragazzo sia stato attaccato in pieno giorno mentre cammina per la nostra città”, dice il politico nazionalista.
“Questa dev’essere un’esperienza straziate e faticosa per il giovane e la sua famiglia ed i miei pensieri sono con loro in questo periodo traumatico.
“Il settarismo è un male nella nostra comunità che deve essere estirpato e la gente di tutta Derry non vuole questi gesti selvaggi sulle proprie strade”.
La polizia chiede informazioni ad eventuali testimoni.

Derry boy victim of sectarian attack
A 13-year-old boy was knocked to the ground by two men on the Craigavon Bridge in Londonderry, police have said.
The teenager was walking towards Carlisle Road when he was attacked.
One assailant was wearing a black hood jacket and black training bottoms, police said.
SDLP Foyle MP Mark Durkan believes the attack was sectarian.
“It is sickening that a young innocent child has been viciously attacked in broad daylight as he walked through our city”, Mr Durkan said.
“This must have been a harrowing and distressing experience for the young boy and his family and my thoughts are with them at this traumatic time.
“Sectarianism is an evil in our community that needs to be stamped out and people throughout Derry do not want this savagery on their streets.”
Police have appealed for anyone who was in the area and could help identify those involved to contact them.
