TUV slam Gaza twinning plans
RESPONDING to plans to twin Moyle with Gaza a TUV spokesperson said:
“There is no rationale for this move other than to further alienate the Unionist population of Moyle. Of all the places in the world why choose Gaza?
“It is important to remember that Hamas is still classified as a terrorist organisation by the EU and USA.
“I therefore believe that the desire to twin Moyle with Gaza is offensive not just to Israel – which has frequently suffered the deadly consequences of attack by Hamas – but also the innocent victims of terrorism in Northern Ireland.
“Why can the Council not seek to twin with somewhere which does not carry the obviously divisive baggage associated with Gaza?
