Un altro bancomat rubato a Forkhill

Un ATM (Automated Teller Machine, ovvero l’apparecchiatura bancomat) è stato rubato durante un furto con scasso in un negozio della Contea di Armagh

L’apparecchiatura, non fissata al muro, è stata portata via da due uomini che sono entrati nei locali di Main Street a Forkhill.

La coppia sarebbe poi fuggita a bordo di un’autovettura Volkswagen. Il furto è stato denunciato alla polizia intorno alle 2:40 di domenica notte.

Da marzo 2009, sono 11 i bancomat rubati in incursioni in tutto il Nordirlanda. A questi vanno aggiunti i 9 tentativi andati a male.

Lo scorso mese la società Link, che gestisce la rete degli ATM, ha annunciato che le apparecchiature conterranno meno denaro a causa dei continui furti.

La società ha offerto una taglia di 25.000 sterline per informazioni riguardanti i responsabili.

ATM stolen from shop in Forkhill

An ATM has been stolen in a burglary at a shop in county Armagh.

The free-standing machine was stolen by two men who broke into the premises on Main Street in Forkhill.

The pair are believed to have escaped in a Volkswagen car. The theft was reported to the police at about 02:40 GMT on Sunday morning.

Since March 2009, 11 ATMs have been stolen in various raids across Northern Ireland. There have also been nine attempts to steal machines.

Last month Link, which runs an ATM network, said its machines would store less money because of the spate of thefts.

The company has also offered a reward of £25,000 for information leading to the prosecution of those responsible.
