Undici presunti repubblicani fermati nella Repubblica e al Nord

Dieci uomini sono stati arrestati dalla gardaí a Dublino nord, durante le indagini su presunte attività repubblicane.

Un portavoce della Garda afferma che gli arresti sono avvenuti nella zona di Balbriggan intorno alle 22 di ieri.

Tutti i fermati sono di età compresa tra i 25 ed i 40 anni.

Sono detenuti nelle stazioni di polizia di Santry, Swords, Blanchardston, Pearse Street e Malahide in base alla Sezione 30 della Legge sui Reati contro lo Stato del 1939.

Nel frattempo un uomo viene interrogato in Irlanda del Nord.

Il sospettato, 34 anni, è stato fermato questa mattina a North Belfast e trattenuto nella stazione di polizia di Antrim.

Eleven held over dissident activity

Ten men have been arrested by gardaí in north Dublin as part of an investigation into dissident republican activity.

A Garda spokesman said the arrests took place in the Balbriggan area at about 10pm last night.

All those arrested range in age from their mid 20s to their 40s.

They are detained at Santry, Swords, Blanchardstown, Pearse Street and Malahide Garda stations under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939.

Elsewhere, a man is being questioned by the PSNI about dissident activity in Northern Ireland.

The suspect (34) was arrested this morning in north Belfast and is being held at Antrim police station.
