Uomo accusato per autobomba al tribunale di Newry

Un uomo è stato accusato per l’attacco contro il tribunale di Newry avvenuto lo scorso 22 febbraio

Il cinquantunenne è stato arrestato lunedì dagli investigatori del Serious Crime Branch nella zona di Dunmurry.

Questa mattina dovrebbe comparire in aula presso il tribunale di Newry.

Nessuno rimase ferito o ucciso nell’attacco, ma l’esplosione causò danni ai cancelli di ingresso al tribunale. Si trattava delle prima esplosione di un’autobomba così potente da quasi 10 anni.

Man charged with Newry courthouse car bomb attack

A man has been charged with a car bomb attack on Newry courthouse on 22 February.

The 51-year-old was arrested by detectives from the Serious Crime Branch in the Dunmurry area on Monday.

He is due to appear at Newry Magistrates Court on Wednesday morning.

No-one was killed or injured in the attack but the explosion did cause damage to the gates of the courthouse. It was the first time a large car bomb had exploded in NI for 10 years.
