Uomo accusato per commenti offensivi messi in Internet su Ronan Kerr

Un uomo di 45 anni è stato accusato per i commenti presumibilmente pubblicati su un sito di social networking riguardo l’omicidio del poliziotto Ronan Kerr.

L’agente Kerr, 25 anni, venne ucciso dallo scoppio di un ordigno avvenuto mentre guidava l’auto dopo aver lasciato la sua casa di Omagh, il 2 aprile.

L’uomo è stato arrestato mercoledì a Cookstown con l’accusa di distribuire materiale minaccioso o offensivo.

Dovrà comparire al Tribunale di Dungannon 22 luglio.

Il quarantacinquenne è stato accusato in base alla Malicious Communications Act (Legge sulle Comunicazioni Dannose).

Una delle condizioni per il rilascio è che non gli venga concesso l’utilizzo di un computer.

Man is charged over Ronan Kerr internet comments

A 45-year-old man has been charged over comments allegedly posted on a social networking site about the murder of Constable Ronan Kerr.

Constable Kerr, 25, was killed when a device exploded as he drove his car from his home in Omagh on 2 April.

The man was arrested in Cookstown on Wednesday and charged with distributing material that was threatening or offensive.

He is to appear at Dungannon Magistrates Court on 22 July.

The 45-year-old was charged under the Malicious Communications Act.

A condition of the police bail is that he is not allowed to use a computer.
