Gli artificieri dell’esercito britannico avevano eseguito esplosioni controllate su una vettura abbandonata all’esterno della stazione di polizia di New Barnsley alle 23 di mercoledì sera.
Circa 100 famiglie sono state evacuate dalle loro abitazioni a causa dell’allarme e adesso sono tutte rientrate.
La polizia non ha detto se nell’automobile c’era una bomba o se erano stati avvertiti.
Sempre mercoledì una bomba era stata ritrovata sotto alla vettura di un soldato a Bangor, nella Contea di Down.
Anche in quel caso gli artificieri hanno eseguito alcune esplosioni controllate per mettere in sicurezza l’ordigno, trovato nella zona di Chasworth.
Gli abitanti di Derry hanno rischiato di ferirsi nelle prime ore di martedì quando una bomba lasciata in un taxi è esplosa fuori da una stazione di polizia.
Un tassista era stato bloccato e costretto a guidare fino alla stazione di Strand Road, dopo che la bomba da 200 libbre era stata caricata a bordo.
I politici e la polizia hanno condannato i vari incidenti.

Man arrested in connection with Belfast security alert
British Army bomb disposal experts had earlier carried out a controlled explosion on a car abandoned outside the New Barnsley police station in west Belfast last night.
About 100 families were evacuated from their homes because of the alert have now been allowed to return home.
Police did not say if a bomb was inside the car or if a warning was given.
Yesterday a booby trap bomb was found under a soldier’s car in Bangor, Co Down.

And members of the public narrowly escaped injury on Tuesday morning when a car bomb exploded outside a police station in Derry.
A taxi driver had been hijacked in the city and forced to drive his car to the station after a device containing 200lbs of homemade explosive was loaded on board.
Politicians and police have condemned the incidents.
