Uomo ferito a Holywood con mazza da baseball

Un uomo ha subito gravi ferite alla testa dopo essere stato colpito con mazze da baseball e un manico di piccone

L’attacco è avvenuto a Firmount Crescent, Holywood, nella notte tra venerdì e sabato. Cinque uomini con passamontagna ed abiti scuri sono entrati nell’abitazione della vittima.

L’uomo ferito, di circa quarant’anni, ha anche subito ferite alle gambe. Dopo l’aggressione è stato trasferito in ospedale.

Un altro uomo presente nella casa è stato colpito alle ginocchia.

Gli investigatori chiedono informazioni agli eventuali testimoni.

Credo che gli assalitori siano fuggiti dalla scena a bordo di una BMW blu.

Il parlamentare DUP di North Down, Alex Easton, ha descritto l’attacco come “barbarico”.

“Questo attacco non ha posto in una società civilizzata. Non ci potrà mai essere una giustificazione per un attacco violento con mazze da baseball e manici di piccone.

“Alla PSNI verrà fornito tutto il sostegno per le indagini su questo spregevole crimine”.

Man injured in baseball bat attack

A man suffered serious head injuries when he was struck with baseball bats and a pickaxe handle in Co Down.

The attack happened in Firmount Crescent, Holywood, at around 12.40am on Saturday morning after five men wearing balaclavas and dark clothing forced their way into the man’s property.

The victim, in his early 40s, who also suffered leg injuries, was taken to hospital.

Another man in the house was hit on the knee.

Detectives appealed for anybody with information to contact them.

They believe the attackers left the scene in a blue BMW.

DUP North Down MLA Alex Easton described the assault as “barbaric.”

“This has no place in a civilised society. There can never be justification for a violent attack with baseball bats and pick axe handles.”

“The PSNI will be given every support as they investigate this despicable crime.”
