Il giovane è stato ferito durante un attacco a North Belfast
La vittima è stata colpita poco dopo la 1 di lunedì notte.
L’attacco armato è stato compiuto in un vicolo tra Sheridan Street e Donore Court, poco fuori Antrim Road, a North Belfast.
Le descrizioni del ventenne, ripetutamente colpito da proiettili al corpo, sono descritte come stabili. Il ferito è ricoverato al Royal Victoria Hospital per le cure mediche.
La parlamentare dello Sinn Féin Carál Ní Chuilín ha condannato i responsabili.
“Questo è un incidente molto grave”, ha detto.
“Hanno ripetutamente sparato al giovane e avrebbe potuto morire.
“Questa aggressione è sbagliata e chiedo ai responsabili di far cessare la loro guerra contro la gente di North Belfast.
“Chiunque abbia informazioni è pregato di portarle alla PSNI”.

Man shot ‘several times’ in north Belfast
A man has been shot a number of times in north Belfast.
The victim, aged in his 20s, was shot at around 1am on Monday.
The shooting was carried out in an alleyway between Sheridan Street and Donore Court off the Antrim Road.
The man was shot in the body a number of times and has been taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital for treatment, where his condition is described as stable.
Sinn Féin MLA Carál Ní Chuilín condemned those behind the shooting.
“This was a very serious incident,” she said.
“The young man was shot on a number of occasions and we could well have been looking at another fatality in North Belfast this morning.
“This shooting was wrong and I call on those behind it to end their war on the people of North Belfast.
“Anyone with information on this incident should bring it forward to the PSNI.”
Police have appealed for anyone with information to contact the non-emergency number of 101.
