Un uomo di 29 anni è stato ferito due volte ad ogni gamba in un attacco in stile paramilitare

L’uomo stava camminando nella zona di Balkan Street/Leeson Street, vicino a Falls Road, quando intorno alle 21 è stato costretto a salire su una vettura da tre uomini.

Trasportato fino a Downfine Walk a Ballymurphy, gli hanno sparato due colpi di arma da fuoco in ciascuna gamba.

Un portavoce della PSNI ha affermato: “È stato trasportato in ospedale per le cure. Le ferite non ne mettono in pericolo la vita”.

La polizia chiede ad eventuali testimoni di farsi avanti.

Man shot in legs in west Belfast

A 29-year-old man has been shot twice in each leg in west Belfast in what police have described as a paramilitary style shooting.

He was walking in the area of Balkan Street/Leeson Street, off the lower Falls Road, on Tuesday at around 9pm when he was forced into a car by three men.

He was taken to Downfine Walk in Ballymurphy where he was then shot.

A police spokesperson said: “He was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries that are not believed to be life threatening.”

Police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
