West Belfast: gambizzato da uomini a volto coperto

Hanno sparato ad entrambe le gambe di un uomo, in un attacco in stile paramilitare

Uomini a volto coperto hanno aperto il fuoco dopo essere entrati nell’abitazione della vittima nella zona di Rossnareen Park, poco prima delle 21.30 di martedì sera.

Adesso il trentaduenne è ricoverato in ospedale.

Il parlamentare e portavoce del Policing Board per lo SDLP, Alex Attwood, ha chiesto alla comunità di essere forte e fornire informazioni sulla violenza paramilitare nella zona alla polizia.

“Le ultime settimane sono state costellate dalla brutalità paramilitare”, ha affermato.

“La comunità deve essere forte, aiutare la polizia e non permettere ai paramilitari di ottenere un punto di appoggio nella nostra comunità”.

La polizia ha chiesto ad eventuali testimoni di contattarli.

Belfast man shot by masked gunmen

A man has been shot in both legs in a paramilitary style attack in west Belfast.

Masked gunmen opened fire after they burst into the victim’s home in the Rossnareen Park area shortly before 9.30pm on Tuesday night.

The 32-year-old is recovering in hospital.

Local MLA and SDLP Policing spokesman Alex Attwood has urged the community to be strong and bring forward information about paramilitary violence in the area to the police.

“The last few weeks have seen a pattern of paramilitary brutality,” he said.

“The community must be strong, help the police and not allow paramilitary assaults to get a foothold in our community.”

Police have also appealed for any witnesses to the shooting or anyone with information to contact them.
