Una donna poliziotto è rimasta seriamente ferita durante i disordini esplosi ad Ardoyne, North Belfast
Oltre a ciò, almeno un Orangista è stato ferito quando la controversa parata ha superato i negozi di Ardoyne , schermata dalla polizia in assetto anti-sommossa.
L’uomo, 63 anni, è stato colpito con un mattone mentre la polizia faticava a controllare centinaia di rivoltosi.
Gli agenti della PSNI erano già stati bersagliati con molotov e spranghe, nonostante gli appelli alla calma di nazionalisti residenti che stavano effettuando un pacifico sit-in di protesta.
Circa 50 persone hanno inscenato la protesta in Upper Crumlin Road, mentre altre centinaia di spettatori si sono raccolti in zona.
Una massiccia presenza della polizia ha isolato Crumlin Road tra Flax Street e Ballysillan Road.
Sono stati sparati proiettili di gomma e cannoni ad acqua sono stati inviati nella zona.
Intanto a sud di Belfast, i giovani hanno utilizzato una barricata in fiamme per chiudere Ormeau Road nella zona dell’Ormeau Bridge.
Mattoni e bottiglie sono state lanciate contro la polizia.

Police woman seriously injured at Ardoyne
A female police officer has been seriously injured during rioting in the Ardoyne area of north Belfast.
It comes as at least one Orangeman was injured as a controversial feeder parade passed the Ardoyne shops, shielded by riot police.
The man, aged 63, was struck with a brick as police struggled to control hundreds of rioters.
Officers had already been pelted with petrol bombs and metal bars, amid appeals for calm from nationalist residents carrying out a peaceful sit-down protest.
About 50 people staged the sit-down on the Upper Crumlin Road, while hundreds more onlookers gathered.
A heavy police presence closed off the Crumlin Road between Flax Street and the Ballysillan Road.
Baton rounds were fired and water cannons were sent into the area.
Meanwhile in south Belfast, youths used a burning blockade to close off the Ormeau Road in the area of the Ormeau Bridge.
Bricks and bottles were also thrown at police.
