Esplosione controllata presso caserma dei pompieri a Belfast
Controlled explosion at Belfast fire station
Belfast Central fire station was evacuated on Tuesday night after a coded telephone warning to the fire service control room claimed a device had been left at the premises, sparking a security alert in the city centre.
Fourteen fire officers had to leave during the alert at Ormeau Avenue and were moved to another station.
Army bomb experts were called to the scene to examine the device and carried out a controlled explosion.
Police cordoned off Ormeau Avenue and Ormeau Road at its junction with Donegal Pass at around 11.30pm on Tuesday.
A police helicopter was brought in to survey the area.
