Saif al-Islam Gheddafi ha riferito che qualsiasi risarcimento per le presunte forniture di armi sarà materia “per i tribunali”.
In un’intervista a Sky News, il figlio di Gheddafi ha affermato che il primo ministro Gordon Brown non è stato coinvolto nelle discussioni relative al rilascio dell’attentatore di Lockerbie.
E ha condanato i politici britannici come “disgustosi e immorali” per il tentativo di usare il caso di Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed al-Megrahi come moneta di scambio.
Il commento di Saif Gheddafi giunge dopo l’anuncio di Brown di aver istituito una squadra del Foreign Office per assistere le vittime dell’IRA.
Le vittime saranno accompagnate da rappresentanti dell’ambasciata inglese a Tripoli per i negoziati con le autorità libiche, previsti entro le prossime due settimane.
Brown ieri ha parlato da Berlino, dopo che le famiglie delle vittime hanno criticato il governo britannico per non aver fatto abbastanza.

Gaddafi’s son: IRA pay-outs to be fought
Saif al-Islam Gaddafi said any compensation arising from alleged Libyan arms supplies would be a matter for ‘the courts’.
In an interview with Sky News, he also said Mr Brown had not been involved in talks over the release of the Lockerbie bomber.
And he condemned British politicians as ‘disgusting and immoral’ for using the case of Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed al-Megrahi to make political capital.
Mr Gaddafi’s comments came after Mr Brown announced that he was setting up a dedicated Foreign Office team to assist the IRA victims.
The victims will be accompanied by representatives of the British embassy in Tripoli for negotiations with the Libyan authorities expected within the next fortnight.
Mr Brown was speaking in Berlin yesterday after families of the victims said the British government was not doing enough.
