La nipote di Gerry Adams ha accusato il padre, Liam – fratello di Gerry, per abusi sessuali eseguiti fin da quando aveva 4 anni.

Parlando in esclusiva per Utv Insight, Aine Tyrrell ha affermato che Gerry Adams sapeva degli abusi da 20 anni.

Ha anche parlato della necessità di rendere pubblica la sua storia, spiegando la disillusione e la frustrazione per come si è sentita abbandonata dalla polizia, dai servizi sociali, dalla chiesa e da suo zio Gerry.

Liam Adams è ricercato dalla polizia per le accuse di abuso sessuale.

Adams speaks on family sex abuse

Sinn Fein leader Gerry Adams has spoken out for the first time about the sex abuse allegations which have divided his family for more than 20 years.

Mr Adams’ niece has accused her father, Mr Adams’ brother, of sexually abusing her from the age of four.

Speaking exclusively to UTV’s Insight Special, Aine Tyrell claimed that Gerry Adams had known about the abuse for 20 years.

She has also talked about her need to go public with her story, and explained disillusionment and frustration at how she feels let down by the police, social services, the church and her uncle Gerry.

Liam Adams, who is in his fifties, is wanted by police in connection with the allegations.
