Un allarme sicurezza a Glengormley è terminato, dopo che alcune esplosioni controllate sono state eseguite su una macchina sospetta
La polizia afferma di non aver trovato nulla di sospetto ma ritengono che il veicolo sia stato rubato.
L’autovettura è stata portata via per ulteriori esami forensi.
Nigel Dodds, parlamentare DUP di North Belfast, ha detto che il prolungato allerta ha “causato grande ansia e problmi agli abitanti della zona”.
Durante l’operazione di sicurezza Ballyclare Road era stata chiusa dall’ingresso a Glengormley Park, così come all’incrocio di Portland Avenue con Ballyclare Road.
“La colpa di tutto questo disagio è di chi ha abbandonato il veicolo rubato che ha causato l’allarme sicurezza. Con il loro sconsiderato comportamento hanno causato difficoltà e disturbo a molta gente innocente” ha concluso Dodds.

Stolen car in Glengormley alert
A security alert in Glengormley has ended, after a number of controlled explosions were carried out on a suspicious car.
Police say nothing suspicious was found but they believe that the vehicle was stolen.
The car has been taken away for further forensic examinations.
North Belfast DUP MP Nigel Dodds said that the prolonged alert in Co Antrim has “caused great anxiety and inconvenience for local people.”
The Ballyclare Road was closed near the entrance to Glengormley Park, as well as the junction of Portland Avenue and Ballyclare Road, during the security operation.
“The blame for all this disturbance lies squarely with those who abandoned the stolen vehicle which has caused this security alert. By their reckless behaviour they have caused difficulty and disruption for many innocent people,” Mr Dodds said.
