Una bomba scoppia sotto ad una vettura nella parte orientale di Belfast
Si è saputo che il probabile obiettivo potrebbe essere un membro delle forze di sicurezza ma una donna senza alcun collegamento con tali corpi era appena salita sulla vettura quando la bomba è detonata.
Un’ambulanza è giunta sul posto per trasportare la donna in ospedale.
Avrebbe subito ferite giudicate non importanti.
Un vicino dice di essere stato svegliato da un grosso botto.
Gli artificieri dell’esercito sono giunti sulla scena e la zona è stata isolata dalla polizia.
Ian Paisley Junior, membro del Policing Board, ha condannato l’attacco.
“E’ uno sviluppo molto grave, che dimostra gli scopi dei responsabili.
“Se fossero i (dissidenti) repubblicani, si conferma l’opinione secondo cui sono pronti ad uccidere un agente della polizia o qualcuno nella comunità per raggiungere il proprio obiettivo”, ha riferito.

Bomb explodes in east Belfast
A bomb has exploded underneath a car in east Belfast.
It is understood that the intended target may have been an off-duty member of the security forces but a woman without any security force connections had just got into the car to drive off when the device triggered.
An ambulance was called to the scene to take her to hospital.
She was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
One neighbour said they had been woken by a loud bang on Friday morning.
Army bomb experts are at the scene and the area has been sealed off by police.
The Policing Board’s Ian Paisley Junior has condemned the attack.
“This is a very serious development, it clearly shows the intent of those responsible.”
“If it turns out to be dissident republicans, it confirms the view that they’re prepared to go to any length to either kill a police officer or someone else in the community to make their point,” he said.
