Le Land Rover della polizia sono state attaccate anche fisicamente da una folla di individui armati di cartelli stradali e pezzi di muratura.
Un uomo avrebbe attaccato un veicolo della polizia con una scure.
Gli agenti feriti hanno riportato lesioni alla testa e al corpo.
Uno di loro è stato colpito alla testa con una sbarra di ferro.
Durante i disordini la polizia ha sparato alcuni proiettili di gomma. L’ufficio del Police Ombudsman ha avviato un’indagine.
La polizia è stata costretta a chiudere la via d’uscita da Stockman’s Lane e il Westlink a Clifton Street a circa 23:40.
Venerdì notte, quattro veicoli della polizia sono stati danneggiati durante gli scontri scoppiati nella zona.

Officers injured in west Belfast riots
Five police officers have been injured during rioting in west Belfast for the second night in a row.
Police land rovers also came under physical attack from crowds of individuals wielding sign posts and pieces of masonry.
One man is believed to have attacked a police vehicle with an axe.
The injured officers sustained head and body injuries.
One was hit on the head with an iron bar.
During the trouble police fired a number of baton rounds. The Police Ombudsman’s office has launched an investigation.
Police were forced to close the Stockman’s Lane off-slip and the Westlink at Clifton Street at around 11.40pm.
On Friday night, four police vehicles were damaged during previous rioting in the area.
