La Independent Commission for the Location of Victims’ Remains (Commissione Indipendente per il Ritrovamento dei Resti delle Vittime) sta indagando sulla sparizione di un altro uomo nei primi anni Settanta
Un portavoce della Commissione ha confermato di aver ricevuto un’informativa su un altro caso.
Si ritiene sia avvenuto un incontro tra la Commissione e la famiglia Wilson.
Wilson aveva 21 anni quando non tornò più presso la sua abitazione nella zona di St. James nel 1973. Aveva difficoltà di apprendimento.
Le indagini sono ancora alle fasi iniziali.
L’aggiunta del nome di Peter Wilson alla lista dei Disappeared porterebbe a 14 il numero delle persone sequestrate ed uccise in segreto dai repubblicani. Responsabile per tutte le sparizioni, tranne una, sarebbe l’Irish Republican Army (IRA).
L’organizzazione paramilitare ha affermato pubblicamente di essere coinvolto in nove degli omicidi, ma non hanno ammesso il ruolo avuto negli altri.

Man may be among the Disappeared
The Independent Commission for the Location of Victims’ Remains is investigating the disappearance of another man in the early 1970s.
A spokesman for the commission has confirmed that it has received a report of another case.
It is believed the commission has met with Mr Wilson’s family.
Mr Wilson was 21 when he went missing from his home in the St James area in 1973. He had learning difficulties.
It is thought both of his parents have since died.
The investigation is believed to be in its very early stages.
The inclusion of Mr Wilson on the list of the Disappeared would bring to 14 the number of people abducted and murdered in secret by republicans, all but one of them by the IRA.
That organisation has publicly said it was involved in nine of the killings, but has not admitted its role in the others.
