Alcuni membri della Young Conway Volunteers, la banda musicale accusata di aver suonato brani settari fuori da una chiesa cattolica di Belfast il 12 luglio, sono stati arrestati dalla polizia
Altri tre uomini sono stati interrogati dalla polizia, dopo essersi presentati spontaneamente.
Gli uomini hanno anche dovuto rispondere alle domande relative all’infrazione della decisione della Commissione Parate avvenuta durante un’altra parata il 25 agosto, sempre in Donegall Street.
Tutti i 14 membri dell’YCV sono stati rilasciati, mentre i fascicoli sono stati trasferiti al Public Prosecution Service.
L’inchiesta era stata avviata dopo che la banda di Shankill era stata ripresa mentre marciava in circolo e, presumibilmente, suonava musica settaria fuori dalla chiesa.
La banda si difese dicendo di aver suonato una canzone dei Beach Boys.
La polizia riferisce che gli arresti sono avvenuti negli scorsi giorni a North Belfast.
L’incidente aveva costretto la Commissione Parate ad imporre restrizioni ad un’altra parata che sarebbe dovuta tenersi nella stessa zona a fine agosto.
La decisione della Commissione venne disattesa e questo è divenuto materia di interrogatorio per i membri della Young Conway Volunteers.

Loyalist band arrested over tunes
Members of the Young Conway Volunteers, the band accused of playing sectarian tunes outside a Catholic church in Belfast on the Twelfth, have been arrested.
A further three men were also interviewed by police, after attending voluntarily.
The men were also interviewed about a breach of the Parades Commission determination which occurred during another parade in Donegall Street on 25 August.
All 14 have now been released pending reports to the Public Prosecution Service for both offences.
It comes after the Shankill-based band was filmed marching in circles and allegedly playing sectarian tunes outside the church.
The band said it was performing a Beach Boys song.
Police said the members were arrested in north Belfast over the past number of days and questioned about their actions on the Twelfth.
The incident led to the parades watchdog placing restrictions on another loyal Order parade on through the same part of the city on 25 August.
The determination was breached and this formed part of the police questioning.
