Man shot in the knee and ankle in paramilitary-style attack in Belfast
A 23-year-old man has been shot in the knee and ankle during a punishment-style attack outside Belfast.
He was targeted by a gang of men at a takeaway in the Juniper area of Dunmurry at around 9.45pm on Tuesday evening.
The victim was dragged from the restaurant before being walked to open ground at the rear of Glasvey Drive, where two other men were waiting.
There, he was shot in his left knee and ankle, before being taken to hospital.
Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them on 101.
One of the victim’s attackers – who dragged him from the takeaway – is said to be of slim build, with a local accent and wearing a black scarf over his face, a black beanie hat, black jacket and black jeans.
