Security alert disrupts Newry city
A security alert at Newry courthouse is causing major disruption.
Army bomb experts were tasked to examine a suspicious vehicle on Tuesday night and remain at the scene.
Part of Newry has been sealed off and court hearings have been moved to Armagh.
Police are warning members of the public to stay away.
SDLP Newry and Armagh MLA Dominic Bradley has condemned those responsible for the alert.
“It is deeply concerning particularly given the anxiety which was caused by the bomb which was left in Forkhill last month.”
