Three arrested over city pipe bombs
Three men have been arrested by police investigating a number of pipe bomb attacks in west Belfast last week.
One bomb, which was planted at a house in St James Park on Monday evening, detonated while a woman and four-year-old child were at the property.
Another, found later on the same evening at nearby La Salle Park, was made safe by Army Bomb Squad officers.
The men, aged 24, 29 and 40, were taken in for questioning after police searches at properties in south Belfast on Tuesday.
A vehicle and other items were also recovered in the search, and are currently being examined.
