30 homes evacuated in Belfast alert
Around 30 homes have been evacuated in west Belfast after reports that a suspicious object has been left at the back of a GAA club.
Waste land at the rear of Dwyers GAA club, on the Falls Road, is being searched.
The Grosvenor Road at the Lower Falls end has been closed to traffic.
A Fold housing facility at Gibson Street, a doctors surgery and commercial premises have also been evacuated.
Divis Community Centre has been opened to provide facilities to those who have been moved from their homes.
Drivers seeking access to the Royal Victoria Hospital should use the Broadway entrance.
Motorists should avoid the area if possible.
