Omicidio Kerr: stessa mano per tre diversi attacchi
Single bombmaker suspected in Ronan Kerr murder
THE CAR BOMB that killed PSNI Constable Ronan Kerr is believed to have been made by the same bombmaker who has been involved in at least three other bombing attempts.
Today’s Irish News carries an exclusive story by Allison Morris, in which she reports that the Semtex used in the Constable Kerr killing in Omagh on 2 April matches explosive material found in east Tyrone last week.
It is believed that the same material was also used in an attack on the car of a British army major in Co Down last year, in an attack which saw PSNI officer Peadar Heffron lose his leg in January 2010 and in an attack on the car of a PSNI dog handler in est Belfast in October 2009.
No-one has yet claimed responsibility for the attack on Constable Kerr but it is suspected that dissident republicans are involved.
