Man charged over Ballyclare flag riots
A 22-year-old man has been charged in connection with rioting in Ballyclare, Co Antrim in July after police removed a number of flags in the area.
Petrol bombs and others missiles were thrown at officers during the violence and cars were also burnt out.
Trouble flared after Union and paramilitary flags near a Catholic church were taken down by police before the Twelfth.
Six police officers were hurt and baton rounds were fired during the violence.
The man is accused of riot contrary to common law, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and possession of an article with intent to damage property, a police spokesperson said.
He will appear in court in Belfast on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, a 17-year-old also arrested by police has been released pending further report.
