Pipe bomb explodes at Newry home
A pipe bomb exploded at a house in Newry in the early hours of Saturday.
The device, which was left in the letterbox of a property in the Benmore Court area of the Co Down city, detonated at around 4am.
Damage was caused to the front door in the attack but no-one was injured.
Army Bomb Squad officers were tasked to the scene, where they found the device to be a small, home-made pipe bomb. The area was declared safe a short time later.
Anyone with further information has been asked to come forward.
